Education
The way we teach and learn at university is crucial not only to academic success but to the development of critical thinking, creativity and a lifelong love of learning.
Providing excellent fundamental education informed by our research, we empower students to co-create their learning journey as part of a holistic and supportive student experience. Galway University Foundation supports the continual development of progressive projects that deploy teaching and learning methods which positively shape how students approach knowledge and prepare them for a rapidly changing world.
IdeasLab is University of Galway's student innovation hub. Today, as it's prgrammes continue to transform student ideas into startups, it connects students across disciplines and supports entrepreneurial and problem-solving skills development.
Collaborating closely with it enterprise partners, IdeasLab will continue to equip students with essential skills for a rapidly evolving workforce.
By harnessing technology in our teaching, learning and assessment, we improve our students’ educational experience and prepare them for the future.
Technology has revolutionized the practice of finance.
Galway University Foundation will drive funding for the delivery of a real world Finance Lab to provide students with real-life experience in corporate finance, asset management, advisory services, and venture capital.
A finance lab typically provides real-time or delayed market data, simulation and risk analysis software, and terminals to illustrate various financial concepts and to train students in the use of technology
A Fin-Lab bridges the gap between finance theory and practice, and introduces students to the broader financial community. It provides an opportunity to expand the classroom into the real world, to apply known concepts and to learn new ones.
